The pot can't call the kettle black.
You can see a mote in another's eye but cannot see a beam in your own.

El dicho expresa el no burlarse de los defectos ajenos, cuando también nosotros adolecemos de los mismos. Aparte de un refrán, recuerdo que también era la idea de una parábola de Jesús en un pasaje bíblico: " No mires la viga en el ojo ajeno, sin ver primero la vara en el tuyo propio".
